Online Self-paced & 3 Days Face-to-Face Course

Grid-Connected PV Systems Install Only

The Grid-Connected Photovoltaic Systems Install Only course is divided into two components:

  • Self-paced Online theory course with tutor support.
  • A 3 days-face-to-face practical session held at an Energy Training Group Training Facility.

The delivery mode of this course is designed for busy tradespeople who do not have the time to attend lengthy face-to-face courses to expand their knowledge and skills: the fully flexible web-based format of the online component allows students to complete the theory in their own time.

To enroll in this course, you must be a licensed electrician or electrical apprentice. Students who successfully complete the course will receive a Statement of Attainment for the units of competency UEERE0022 and UEERE0016.

Training Outcome

Successful completion of this course will result in the award of a Statement of Attainment for following Units of Competency:

solve the basic problems in photovoltaic energy apparatus and systems

Install, configure and commission LV grid connected photovoltaic power systems.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be eligible to apply to the Clean Energy Council for the Installation of Grid-Connect PV Systems accreditation

An electrical license is a prerequisite for enrolment in this course. Electrical apprentices may enrol in this course, however, they will need to show they have completed the prerequisite Units of Competency (UEENEEE104A, UEENEEE137A, UEENEEG103A, and UEENEEE108A or UEENEEG106A) in their studies already OR wait till they are issued an unrestricted electrical license before being awarded a Statement of Attainment.

This course uses two delivery methods:

  • Self-paced Online theory course with tutor support.
  • A 3 days-face-to-face practical session held at an Energy Training Group Training Facility.

Online session: The time to complete the online component will differ between students, but students should expect to commit around 34 hours.
