Course Duration:
Online Self-paced & 3 Days Face-to-Face Course

Grid-Connected PV Systems Design & Install

The Grid- Connected Photovoltaic Systems Design & Install course consists of two main components:

  1. Online theory completed at students’ own pace with tutor support.
  2. A face-to-face (3 days) practical component held at the training facility of Energy Training Group.

The delivery mode of this course is designed for busy tradespeople who do not have the time to attend lengthy face-to-face courses to expand their knowledge and skills: the fully flexible web-based format of the online component allows students to complete the theory in their own time.

To enrol in this course, you must be a licensed electrician or electrical apprentice. Energy Training Group is a Nationally Recognised Training Organisation, and students who successfully complete this course will be issued a Statement of Attainment for the units of competency UEERE0022, UEERE0011 and UEERE0016.

Training Outcome

Successful completion of the course will award the Student with a Statement of Attainment in the current version of the following Units of Competency
Solve basic problems in photovoltaic energy apparatus and systems
Design grid connected photovoltaic power supply systems.
Install, configure and commission LV grid connected photovoltaic power systems

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be eligible to apply to the Clean Energy Council for the Design & Installation of Grid-Connect PV Systems accreditation.

These unit codes have recently been superseded, but are still valid for enrolment and training until 4th October 2022. The superseded and new unit codes are equally valid for Clean Energy Council accreditation.

An electrical licence is a prerequisite for enrolment in this course.

Electrical apprentices can also enrol in this course if they have completed the prerequisite Units of Competency (UEENEEE104A, UEENEEE137A, UEENEEG103A, and UEENEEE108A or UEENEEG106A) in their studies OR wait till they are issued their unrestricted electrical licence before being awarded a Statement of Attainment.
