Fees: $2,595 ($1500 payable on enrolment and remaining fee to be paid at time of practical course dates.)

Units: UEERE0054, UEERE0061, UEERE0080, and UEERE0081

Course Duration:
Online Self-paced & 2 Days Face-to-Face Course, START IMMEDIATELY

The Grid- Connected Photovoltaic Systems Design & Install course consists of two main components:
  1. Online theory completed at students’ own pace with tutor support.
  2. A face-to-face (2 days) practical component held at the training facility of Energy Training Group.

The delivery mode of this course is designed for busy tradespeople who do not have the time to attend lengthy face-to-face courses to expand their knowledge and skills: the fully flexible web-based format of the online component allows students to complete the theory in their own time.

To enrol in this course, you must be a licensed electrician or electrical apprentice. Energy Training Group is a Nationally Recognised Training Organisation, and students who successfully complete this course will be issued a Statement of Attainment for the units of competency UEERE0054, UEERE0061, UEERE0080, and UEERE0081.

Register now and enjoy flexible start times—complete the course at your own pace.

Training Outcome

Successful completion of the course will award the Student with a Statement of Attainment in the current version of the following Units of Competency
UEERE0054
Conduct site survey for grid-connected photovoltaic and battery storage systems
UEERE0061
Design grid-connected photovoltaic power supply systems
UEERE0080
Install photovoltaic power conversion equipment to grid
UEERE0081
Install photovoltaic systems to power conversion equipment
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be eligible to apply to the Solar Accreditation Australia for the Design & Installation of Grid-Connect PV Systems accreditation.
An electrical licence is a prerequisite for enrolment in this course.
  • UEERE0054 : Conduct site survey for grid-connected photovoltaic and battery storage systems
  • UEERE0051 : Apply electrical principles to renewable energy design
  • UEERE0054 : Conduct site survey for grid-connected photovoltaic and battery storage systems

This course used two delivery methods:

  • Online theory completed at students’ own pace.
  • 2-day face-to-face practical component held at an Energy training Group Training Facility

Online component: The time to complete the online component will differ between students, but students should expect to commit around 56 hours (40 hours for online content and assessments, and 16 hours for the design task).

Practical component: Approximately 60% of the online assessments must be completed before attending the face-to-face practical component.

The validation period of the Courses is twelve (12) months.  Extension fees will apply from the date of expiry, and the maximum extension period allowed is six (6) months from the date of expiry.
